I started in Model Rocketry in 1980 when I got my first kit the Centuri Excalibur. In the early 90’s I joined the Marion Model Rocketry club and met some life long friends there. In the mid 90’s I was a co-founder of the Adelaide Advanced Rocket Club. After 2 years of work with Maurice Laffin I was granted the first permit to Legally import and use Composite Model Rocket motors from the SA government. In 1997 I launched the first Legal High Power motor in Australia an Aerotech I211w at Lake Finniss, South Australia, and In 2011 Sean Rowe and myself launched the first 2 stage hybrid in Australia. I have been a member of both the ARA and AARC since their formation.
